About Inner Compass Psychiatry
Integrative & Functional Virtual Psychiatric Care in the Southwest (Arizona & New Mexico)

Pronouns: She/Her/Hers
Hello! My name is Samantha Chartash and I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with over a decade of experience in healthcare. I spent most of my professional life in Nashville before making the move to Atlanta in 2021. My journey in healthcare began in 2011. Over the years, I’ve developed a deep passion for mental health with a focus on a holistic approach that encompasses all areas of a person’s life. Now, I own Inner Compass Psychiatry and provide virtual psychiatric care in the southwest, specifically New Mexico and Arizona.
As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), my practice is rooted in a profound love for people and a deep commitment to understanding each individual’s unique experience. I believe that genuine human connection is at the heart of effective mental health care. My greatest joy comes from building meaningful relationships with my patients, listening to their stories, and walking alongside them on their journey to wellness.
My Care Philosophy
I approach mental health care from a holistic and integrative perspective, while recognizing that true well-being involves more than just addressing symptoms. It’s also about nurturing the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. I see mental health as a dynamic interplay of emotional, physical, and social factors.
Ultimately, my treatment philosophy is about both embracing the complexity of human experience and fostering an inclusive environment where individuals feel seen, heard, and valued. I am dedicated to not only to being a supportive partner in my patients’ journeys and helping to navigate challenges, but also to celebrating progress.
I specialize in the following treatment areas for children, teenagers, and adults:
- Depression, Anxiety, and PTSD
- Bipolar Disorder
- Autism Spectrum Disorder, AuDHD, and ADHD
- Eating Disorders
- Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
- Insomnia
- Functional Psychiatry
When I am not working, I spend my time learning, reading, spending time with my family, and crafting. I love to explore new places, ideas, and getting to know people from all walks of life.
